Tonight, I was just sure, that there were going to be some very upset kids on the ball field. Tonight was the first game they began to call outs. When I practiced with C on Sunday afternoon, he hit an air-ball that I caught, and I told him he was out. He looked at me, perplexed, and said “what do you mean, out?”. I explained to him that if he hit the ball and it was caught in the air, he was out and had to go back to the dugout. He didn’t believe me and had to go get confirmation from his Daddy.
Anyway, as suprised as I was, no one on our team got tagged out and they were able to tag 2 kids out on the other team. C could have had someone out at home plate, but they have not progressed far enough in their baseball knowledge to know that one yet.
The first time C was up to bat, he finally hit the ball on his last pitch before having to hit off the tee—he hit a ground ball clear past second base, so he made it all the way to second before they ever got the ball in. The next time up to bat, he hit the ball on his last pitch before the tee again. This time it didn’t go near as far, but he still made it to first without getting called out.
I think I am going to have to leave L at Papaw’s house….he is too rowdy. All he wanted to do was climb the fence or throw rocks, which he happened to throw and hit me in the face, almost getting me in the eye. I guess the good thing was it hit me and no one else.
Finally, hubby has his third semester nursing final tomorrow….say a prayer for him! I will certainly be glad when it is over! And I know he will be.

Sounds like C had a great game! It is so much fun watching them play. I will say a prayer for hubby and his final tomorrow. Emily has a final tomorrow too.
Yep, Lucas loves to climb the fence and throw rocks at the high school games too! Thank God for Susan and other moms who’ve been there with little ones who help me out at the games! Praying for Barry - remember Danny too! Love you!
